Mackinaw Island, Michigan

One of the most beautiful and clean places I have been in the United States in years is Mackinaw Island. Truly magical. No cars, only horse and carriages and bikes.

I stayed at The Grand Hotel, one of the oldest hotels in the United States. It has the largest covered porch in the world. Carlton Varney decorated the hotel and it is very whimsical and colorful. There are endless, wonderful historical treasures on every wall and such history !!

This is a perfect place for a destination wedding, birthday celebration or group trip.

The water is as blue as the Caribbean, not as warm though! Lots of outdoor activities, biking, tennis golf.

LaSmooch

LaSmooch is the absolute most chic vehicle I have been in !!!

The accessories and jewelry from around the world are irresistible, not a big surprise since designer Miss Trish of Capri, one of my dearest friends, is behind the leopard mobile closet of treasures. James Spodnik and Regina Kay designed the old potato chip truck to look like Doubles meets Cartier.

It is hot pink with mirrors, chrome and a big beautiful round window. Look for it out East this summer !!!

LaSmooch is a hoot !!!
